New Paranormal Novel for Children Releases from Local Denver Author

AURORA, Colorado, October 30th, 2019 – The next installment of the Braidy von Althuis books releases today as local author Cas Dwelis publishes the fourth book in his paranormal series intended for children aged 8 to 12. Braidy von Althuis is an endearing series about a little boy, Braidy, and his wacky, spooky family. Inspired by The Addams Family and The Munsters, the series teaches lessons about bullying, family, and acceptance, and aims to speak to both children and parents about embracing originality.

In Braidy von Althuis and the Changeling Children, Braidy von Althuis is celebrating his eleventh birthday, but not with his best friend. Mr. von Althuis has decided to move the whole family out of Maple Hills. When the family arrives in Ukraine, a whole slew of new problems arise. Aunt Liz and Braidy are summoned to an audience with the Fairy King. In order to go home, Braidy and Aunt Liz must solve riddles or belong to the Fairy King forever.

The first and second books in the series, Braidy von Althuis and the Pesky Pest Controller and Braidy von Althuis and the Gullible Ghost Hunter, received 5 Star Reviews from Reader’s Favorite, an international book competition, and Dwelis has high hopes for the fourth installment in the story.

“This particular book in the series is really important to me,” Dwelis said. “The previous books dealt a lot with bullying, family turmoil, and identity, but in The Changeling Children I wanted to focus on grief and mourning, as well as recovery and family. Braidy deals with his aunt, who has been grieving things she’s lost for a long time, and helps her move on from the trauma. My goal is to help children relate to family members who are grieving or have suffered loss, and to normalize mental illness and depression.”

Braidy von Althuis and the Changeling Children is now available on Amazon and other works by Cas Dwelis can be viewed on his website at cassidydwelis.com.
